Dates Announced for October Fiestas

September 30 to October 9, 2011: Fiestas de Octubre 2011

The city government of Magdalena has announced that its "Fiestas de Octubre 2011" will be held from September 30 through October 9, 2011.

Commonly known as the Fiestas de San Francisco Javier, the two weeks of parties are the biggest annual event in Magdalena. Thousands attend the fiestas, many of whom walk the 56 miles from the border city of Nogales to Magdalena de Kino.
